Community for Christ (CFC) is a community outreach center established in 1992 to provide spiritual and physical assistance to those in need. Since 1992 has maintained the status of a 501 (c) (3). CFC is supported by seven local churches, individual donations and grant funding. We strive to provide aid for needy families, the elderly and the disabled, as well as those on a fixed or low income and the homeless. Additional funding is provided through our thrift store by the resell of donated gently used clothes, shoes, coats, household items, tools, furniture and a multitude of other items. These services are provided at little to no charge. The Salvation Army also supports CFC through distribution of funds collected via the “Red Kettle.”
Thrift store is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and staffed by volunteers.
Community for Christ operates an emergency food pantry and may offer assistance in areas of rent, utilities, gas, medicines, food, gasoline, and other special needs. The CFC director interviews all clients who must provide identification and proof of residing in the counties of northern Camden and southern Morgan.
The director’s office is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:15 PM.
Community for Christ strives to insure everyone requiring assistance is met with dignity. Our mission is helping those in need to become a productive asset to themselves and their families, and to our community at the Lake of the Ozarks.
PLEASE NOTE: During winter, if the Camdenton Schools are closed due to snow and ice, CFC will also be closed!!
